Elizabeth Harris
As a cost lawyer of 17 years standing, Liz is one of the senior cost lawyers in Victoria She is editor of the Victorian section of the Butterworths “Legal Costs Guide—Victoria” and a contributing editor to Butterworths “Civil Procedure - Forms and Precedents”.
She is Chair of the Cost Lawyers group of the Law Institute of Victoria, a member of the Law Institute Costs Policy Committee. and is one of three cost lawyers drafting a new Victorian Supreme Court Scale of Costs. Liz was a member of the committee drafting the 2007 Victorian Supreme Court practice note on the use of technology in litigation.
Liz sits as a Taxing Officer in taxations of fees of Trustees in Bankruptcy pursuant to the Bankruptcy Act.
She regularly is engaged as an expert witness in both security for cost applications and applications for gross sum cost assessments.
She regularly lectures in the areas of costs, professional practice, e-litigation and e-billing, and has given seminars on behalf of the Law Institute of Victoria, Victorian Bar, Legalwise Seminars, AIJA, TV Education Network, as well as private seminars to law firms and in-house counsel.
Liz appears in taxations in all Federal and State jurisdictions.

Michael Jones
After many years in private practice in Western Australia, Northern Territory, Victoria and overseas, Michael has considerable experience in litigation to apply in his role of a cost lawyer. He has conducted complex litigation and has considerable experience as an advocate.
Michael is now principle of the Perth Office of Harris Costing and can assist with all matters in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
